What Services Do Verdure Financial Planning Solutions Offer?

Verdure Financial Planning Solutions is proud to offer you the following customised services:

Life Insurance products are a critical investment in your family’s future as they provide a lump sum monetary benefit to your loved ones in the event of your death. A correctly tailored Life Insurance policy may therefore ensure your family continues to enjoy their current standard of living in the event of your death.
Total and Permanent Disability Insurance (commonly abbreviated as TPD) operates similar to Life Insurance. In the event you are no longer able to earn an income due to disablement it will pay a lump sum monetary benefit upon a successful claim.
Income Protection Insurance, also known as Salary Continuance Insurance, covers between 75% and 85% of your current monthly salary in the event you become disabled and unable to work. Income Protection Insurance usually has a 30, 60 or 90 day waiting period and the policy holder may choose whether to have a policy that pays for a specified number of years or until a specified age (commonly age 65). Thus, if your insurance policies are structured correctly, you may receive a lump sum benefit from your Total and Permanent Disability Insurance to cover your existing liabilities such as mortgages and personal debt as well as 75% of your existing monthly salary to cover your daily living expenses in the event of disablement. Income Protection insurance premiums are tax deductible, and the benefits are taxable.
Trauma Insurance, also known as Critical Illness or Crisis Recovery Insurance, pays a benefit to the policy holder in the event of a Trauma such as heart attack, cancer or stroke. With one in three Australians likely to suffer from a heart attack, stroke or cancer during their lifetime, it is imperative that you consider an appropriate level of Trauma insurance for yourself. Recovery time after a critical illness can take months, sometimes years. Trauma Insurance ensures that you are financially covered for some of the recovery time in the event of a critical illness.
For families with children, Child Trauma Insurance should be an imperative add-on to their Life Insurance policy. Child Trauma cover will pay a nominated benefit to the family in case one of their children becomes critically ill. Such a payment may allow you to spend more time being with and looking after your loved ones rather than working to ensure that the family expenses are covered. Child Trauma policies are available as add-ons to your Life Insurance policies and may become separate Life Insurance policies for your children with some insurance providers when your children reach a certain age.
Business Succession Insurance helps with the smooth succession of the business from one owner to another and provides security for employees through the continuity of employment. Ownership protection can provide the continuing owners, or their nominee, with sufficient cash for the transfer of the outgoing owner’s equity to the continuing owners, if a business owner dies, is disabled or suffers a critical illness.
The most valuable asset in any business is the key people who run the business. The loss of the managerial skills, expertise and leadership of a key person can have a substantial impact on revenue and profitability. Considerable costs can be incurred in recruiting and training a suitable replacement. There may also be an adverse impact on the business’ goodwill and its ability to repay debts or other expenses. Key Person Insurance is designed to reduce these impacts and ensure the business continues to operate profitable in the absence of its key personnel.
Business Expense Insurance is a financial back-up plan for your business. Have you considered how you will meet your business’ expenses, such as employee salaries, bills, insurance premiums and rent, if you are unable to work for a substantial amount of time due to injury or illness? Business Expense Insurance is designed to cover the day-to-day fixed costs as a monthly reimbursement your business incurs in case you are unable to contribute. This gives you peace of mind that your business will be able to continue to operate and your expenses will be covered so that you can focus on your recovery. Fixed business expenses include office rent, leases on cars, insurance and security costs, bills and salaries of your staff.
At Verdure Financial, we specialise in all types of Superannuation products and rollover procedures. Superannuation refers to the funds people set aside during their working years, dedicated to provide for their financial needs during retirement. It is a statutory requirement in Australia that employers pay a proportion of an employee’s salaries and wages into a dedicated superannuation fund. As of July 2013, this proportion is 9.25%. This is set to increase to 12% gradually from 2013. Calculated over the 35 years a person spends ordinarily working full time, this can amount to a substantial sums. With over 12 years of financial planning and accounting experience, we at Verdure Financial Planning Solutions are ideally suited to ensure your retirement is secured by providing you with detailed retirement planning and superannuation investment options and advice.
Have you kept track of your Super? Have you held more than one job, changed name or done casual or part-time work? Then you may be one of many Australians who have lost super. It is estimated that Australians have about $14 billion in lost super. At Verdure Financial Planning Solutions, we can help find your lost Super, consolidate this into one account and invest your Super appropriately to ensure it meets your retirement needs.
In general, a financial plan is a series of steps or goals used by an individual or business, the progressive and cumulative attainment of which is designed to accomplish a financial goal or set of circumstances, e.g. elimination of debt, retirement preparedness, etc. This often includes a budget which organizes an individual’s finances and sometimes includes a series of steps or specific goals for spending and saving future. This plan allocates future income to various types of expenses, such as rent or utilities, and also reserves some income for short-term and long-term savings. A financial plan is sometimes referred to as an investment plan, but in personal finance a financial plan can focus on other specific areas such as risk management, estates, college, or retirement.
At Verdure Financial Planning Solutions, we conduct an annual review of our client’s insurances to ensure the cover remains tailored to meet the personal needs of each client. In addition, we also complete a comprehensive overview of all superannuation and investment portfolios for each client and send out quarterly portfolio reviews of superannuation and investment performance. We make sure that your risk profile is regularly reviewed and aligned correctly with your investments as we understand that circumstances change frequently. We produce a monthly newsletter and distribute it to all clients informing them of important updates and offers currently available that may be relevant to your circumstances. Unlike some Financial Advisers, we provide easy access to your dedicated Financial Adviser and support staff via general email and phone for any enquiries you may have relating to your financial situation. We offer invitations to financial services seminars relevant to your financial situation (only if requested by client).
Like other superannuation funds, self-managed super funds (SMSFs) are a way of saving for your retirement. The difference between an SMSF and other types of superannuation funds is that, generally, the members of an SMSF are also the trustees. This means the members of the SMSF run it for their own benefit. SMSFs are not for everyone and you should think carefully before deciding to set one up. It is a major financial decision and you need to have the time and skills to do it. There may be better options for your super savings and we invite you to speak to us if you are interested in establishing your own SMSF.
Buying property through a Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) is become increasingly popular in Australia, however this usually requires your SMSF to acquire a significant liability to cover the mortgage. It is a statutory requirement for those planning to purchase property through their SMSF to consider Life and Total and Permanent Disability Insurance. At Verdure Financial, we are able to provide financial planning advice on all your insurance needs including those who wish to purchase a property through their SMSF.
Have you considered planning ahead for your retirement? How much money will you need to live comfortably once you are no longer working full time? How can you achieve your goal of financial independence during retirement? Ask us how we can help you plan ahead for your retirement ensuring you have sufficient funds to be able to enjoy your current level of comfort during your well-deserved retirement.
Most Australians need an average of $30-60,000 per annum in funds to cover their daily living needs. Once you are retired, it is unlikely this figure will change however; you will no longer be working full time. It is important you consider an appropriate strategy to ensure you reach your retirement savings goals before you reach the appropriate age. Ask for an appointment with one of our Financial Planners to see how we can help.
We pride ourselves on our priority claims process for each of our clients. At claim time, you will need immediate support from your Adviser. We are focused on making sure we handle the claims process with speed, efficiency and compassion. We handle claims in a most professional way whilst understanding that your integrity and privacy is of major importance.
Estate planning is the process of anticipating and arranging for the disposal of an estate during a person’s life. Estate planning typically attempts to eliminate uncertainties over the administration of a probate and maximise the value of the estate by reducing taxes and other expenses. Guardians are often designated for minor children and beneficiaries in incapacity. Estate planning involves the will, trusts, beneficiary designations, powers of appointment, property ownership (joint tenancy with rights of survivorship, tenancy in common, tenancy by the entirety), gift, and powers of attorney, specifically the enduring power of attorney and guardian provisions.
